Our Heritage & Commitment
Seminole Feed® has a long dedicated history of serving the horse industry. On April 24, 1934, the first Seminole retail store opened its doors in Ocala, Florida. The building was small and humble, but its founders had big dreams and an absolute commitment to bringing excellent service and expertise to customers in the areas of feed, seed, fertilizer and other agriculture products.
In the 1950’s, the company grew rapidly as the Thoroughbred industry of North Central Florida thrived. To meet the needs of horse farms in Marion County, the company built a feed mill and began specifically manufacturing horse feed in January 1968. Seminole insisted on quality products, service and value, along with ongoing research for its customers. The company’s dedication and hard work paid off. Today, Seminole Feed®, located in downtown Ocala, Florida, the “Horse Capital of the World,” is an all-natural mill, manufacturing only non-medicated products and “The World’s Best Equine Feeds”.
Seminole Feed® is a strong supporter of the horse industry and the equine community, donating countless hours and financial support to youth, 4-H, equine research programs, equine rescue programs, therapeutic riding and nonprofit organizations throughout the Southeast.
It’s no wonder Seminole is trusted as the No. 1 choice for Olympic medalists, national champion collegiate equestrian teams, world champions in every event. Since 1934, Seminole’s reputation has been on the line to continually provide the “World’s Best Equine Feed”.

Our Philosophy
Medication Free Feed Mill
No Contamination
At Seminole Feed®, we are proud to have a plant that is free of all medications and ionophores. While we do manufacture a handful of livestock feeds, these feeds are made with the same ingredients as our horse feeds, so there is never a chance of contamination with an ingredient that will cause a horse harm. The only feed ingredients we house in our plant are those safe for equine consumption.
See FeedsFeeding Philosophy
Only the Finest Ingredients
See FeedsOur goal at Seminole Feed® is to provide the World’s Best Equine Feed. Horse Nutrition is our first priority. Seminole uses a fixed formulation for making all feeds.
We do not use low cost feed fillers, but only the finest ingredients for our feeds. We use the strictest quality control measures when making horse feeds and supplements. Because of the superior formulations and the high quality and digestibility of Seminole Wellness® horse feeds, they can typically be fed at smaller amounts than other products on the market. This allows the horse to consume less grain and more forage, ensuring a healthier digestive system.
